Everything’s Peachy! GDP 094

Hi all

It’s challenge time again! I love taking part in the Global Design Project Challenges and this week GDP have set a sketch challenge.

It’s been a tricky week at Gather & Create HQ but it’s great to count your blessings as well as your trials and that’s what I thought of when I used Peekaboo Peach. Maybe not everything is peachy but there is plenty that is!

Here’s my entry:

To make the project:

Create card base with  Thick Whisper white card

Peekaboo Peach layer 10×14.4cm

Whisper White Layer 9.5×13.9cm

Stamp the heart border in Peekaboo Peach 6 times

Clean a piece if Whisper white with an Embossing Buddy, ink with versamark and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Cut out with Oval thinlit. Cut scalloped edge oval from gold foil.

Stamp the flower image on White following the same process above.

Squeeze the Peekaboo Ink pad (closed!) and use the ink in the lid to colour the flower with an aqua painter.

Use Embossing Buddy all over the Whisper White layer that you stamped with the hearts and stamp the dots, emboss as per the flower and sentiment.

Wrap a piece of ribbon around the Whisper White layer, tape at the back to secure. Tie a smaller piece of ribbon to create the knot.

Glue the gold foil oval with multipurpose glue, use a couple of glue dots to secure edges.

Glue the flower to the gold oval and add the sentiment with dimensionals.

I hope you give this cute card a try and head over to the GDP blog to check out all the other entries!
