Sparkle & Glitter! GDP Theme challenge.

Hi Crafty friends

I escaped the very, very rainy day here in the UK and played along with this week’s Global Design Project Theme Challenge. Just to cheer myself up, I added glitter. Glitter can brighten any gloomy day! Right?

This design would work for a Wedding, Anniversary or Engagement, versatility is key!

The camera doesn’t translate the sparkly-ness (a word in my world) of the card but trust me, this card sparkles! The extra dots of sparkle were created with a fine tip glue pen and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. The champagne flutes and sentiment were both heat embossed which always a great look for these kinds of celebration cards and adds a professional and classy touch.

You’ll find a link to the products used at the end of this post.

It can be tricky to adhere anything to glimmer paper or to cut it to size. Here are some tips to help you with that.

  1. Scrape a little of the glitter away where you want to glue your layer.
  2. Use a good amount of Multi Purpose Liquid glue and leave it to dry.
  3. Turn your glimmer paper over to cut on your trimmer.

Milkshake anyone? #GDP095

Hi crafty friends

Global Design Project have given us a super fun theme challenge this week! It’s time to go cute with :-

For my card I thought back to what I loved as a child. It was, of course, food related!

Being a child of the seventies, Milkshakes seemed to epitomise American glamour. I think that had something to do with Grease! I thought every American teenager spent all of their spare time either at the Drive-In or eating burgers and drinking shakes at the diner!

Kids are far more sophisticated these days but I still think they wouldn’t be able to resist a milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry on top. 🙂
