Fancy Fold with Memory & More cards

Just in case you didn’t know why Stampin’ Up! named their memory keeping system Memories & More I thought I’d illustrate it with a card! Cards are pretty much the best way to get most messages across of course 🙂

The Merry Little Christmas Memories & More pack includes:

72 Double sided cards

1 x card stock sticker sheet

1 Acetate sticker sheet

4 acetate card overlays

all for only £9.00!

We all want more bang for our buck and the coordination that Stampin’ Up! is renowned for and Memories & More is just perfect for both of those expectation. If you’re a scrapbooker you’ll do amazing layouts with them, or maybe your prefer a quick layout with the pocket system. You could even just add a pocket layout to your Love today Planner.

Those are the obvious so I wanted to think outside of the box a little.

Card recipe

Cut Old Olive card on the short side at 10.5cm (length ways)

Score at 7.5cm and 14.9cm

Stamp sentiment on Whisper White and leave to dry, archival ink has a longer dry time.

Take 2 small M&M cards and 1 large. You may need to take a couple of millimetres off the second smallest card. Trim the large card to 14.8cm x 9.9cm

Wrap ribbon around the second card, I adhered the bow separately with a glue dot.

Adhere all the cards to the base

Add wink of Stella to ornaments on big card, and number 25. Add one rhinestone to the sticker ornament.

Add rhinestones to some of the ornaments

Add  ornament  sticker to first card

If sentiment is dry punch out using 2 1/4 circle punch. Glue on and add holly sticker

Milkshake anyone? #GDP095

Hi crafty friends

Global Design Project have given us a super fun theme challenge this week! It’s time to go cute with :-

For my card I thought back to what I loved as a child. It was, of course, food related!

Being a child of the seventies, Milkshakes seemed to epitomise American glamour. I think that had something to do with Grease! I thought every American teenager spent all of their spare time either at the Drive-In or eating burgers and drinking shakes at the diner!

Kids are far more sophisticated these days but I still think they wouldn’t be able to resist a milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry on top. 🙂

Apologies for using retired enamel shapes! You can still order them in Brights, Regals and subtles.

Have you tried it yet?

Hi all

With the launch of the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue in June came the fabulous Memories and More Collection. Memories and More feature beautiful packs of cards which are perfect for cardmaking, memory keeping, journalling or any other creative project that pops into your head! As you would expect from Stampin’ Up! Memories and More is all about coordination meaning you can choose matching inks, card, papers and accessories.

I chose Petal Garden for today’s project which came together very easily. Cards don’t have to take hours to have the wow factor!

I love the colours and the artwork is stunning. The Petal Garden DSP isn’t all floral though, it also has more subtle patterns meaning you get a super versatile set of papers.

Be sure to give Memories and More a go, you’ll love it!

Everything’s Peachy! GDP 094

Hi all

It’s challenge time again! I love taking part in the Global Design Project Challenges and this week GDP have set a sketch challenge.

It’s been a tricky week at Gather & Create HQ but it’s great to count your blessings as well as your trials and that’s what I thought of when I used Peekaboo Peach. Maybe not everything is peachy but there is plenty that is!

Global Design Project 094| Sketch Challenge

Here’s my entry:

To make the project:

Create card base with  Thick Whisper white card

Peekaboo Peach layer 10×14.4cm

Whisper White Layer 9.5×13.9cm

Stamp the heart border in Peekaboo Peach 6 times

Clean a piece if Whisper white with an Embossing Buddy, ink with versamark and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Cut out with Oval thinlit. Cut scalloped edge oval from gold foil.

Stamp the flower image on White following the same process above.

Squeeze the Peekaboo Ink pad (closed!) and use the ink in the lid to colour the flower with an aqua painter.

Use Embossing Buddy all over the Whisper White layer that you stamped with the hearts and stamp the dots, emboss as per the flower and sentiment.

Wrap a piece of ribbon around the Whisper White layer, tape at the back to secure. Tie a smaller piece of ribbon to create the knot.

Glue the gold foil oval with multipurpose glue, use a couple of glue dots to secure edges.

Glue the flower to the gold oval and add the sentiment with dimensionals.

I hope you give this cute card a try and head over to the GDP blog to check out all the other entries!

GDP entry – I hope you’re feeling special…

Hi crafty friends

It’s been a while since I’ve taken part in a challenge…although it has been on my ‘to do list’ you know how it is! I really couldn’t resist this week’s colour challenge from Global Design project though because I love the colour combo so much.

So yummy, right?? Lemon Lime Twist is my absolute fav at the mo.

Global Design Project 093 | Colour Challenge

Here’s my entry

I used the Garden in Bloom Stamp set, the two step stamping always gives a lovely effect and I knew it would lend it self to the colours well.

The large flower and butterfly were fussy cut and raised on dimensionals to help them stand out and I used a Perfect White Accent for the centre of the flower. The ribbon was wrapped around the card and secured with some Tear & Tape adhesive, I then took a shorter length of ribbon for the knotted piece.

Let me if you have any questions or just to say hi! Be sure to check out the rest of the entries and maybe have a go yourself!
