A festive experience for hotel guests

As part of their Christmas guest programme, The Grove partnered with Jo Malone London to create a festive experience for hotel guests.

The activity needed to feel at home within the hotel’s seasonal offering while reflecting the style and character of the Jo Malone London brand.

The Challenge

Bringing fragrance to life

This wasn’t a traditional workshop setting.

The experience needed to fit naturally into the guest journey, giving people something enjoyable to take part in without disrupting the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.

It also needed to bring Jo Malone London’s fragrances to life in a way guests could see, touch and create for themselves.

Our Approach

Baubles inspired by scent

We created a bespoke bauble-making experience inspired by a selection of Jo Malone London fragrances.

After enjoying afternoon tea, guests were invited to explore the scents and choose dried flowers, foliage and seasonal materials that reflected the fragrance they were most drawn to.

Guided by our team, each guest created a personalised bauble to take home, with every design looking slightly different from the next.

The Result

A personal keepsake and a lasting reminder

The experience became a natural part of the Christmas visit, giving guests the opportunity to create something of their own.

Each bauble served as a reminder of the day, while the fragrances, materials and festive setting helped bring the collaboration between The Grove and Jo Malone London to life in a simple and memorable way.
