The Brief

Networking that feels natural

Warburg Pincus hosted a Christmas networking event for 150 executive assistants, many of whom were meeting for the first time.

They wanted an experience that would help people connect naturally, without formal introductions or structured icebreakers, while still feeling like a festive treat for guests.

The Challenge

Breaking the ice without icebreakers

Bringing together 150 people in one room can make networking feel daunting.

The activity needed to encourage conversation without forcing it, while making sure everyone felt comfortable taking part, including those who wouldn’t usually describe themselves as creative.

"The Bauble Bar was the perfect icebreaker. Guests who'd never met were chatting within minutes, champagne in hand, and everyone left with a beautiful bauble and new connections."

Maxine, Executive Assistant

Our Approach

Champagne, baubles and easy conversation

We introduced our Bauble Bar as a simple, festive activity that gave guests a shared focus from the moment they arrived.

Guests enjoyed a glass of champagne while creating their own handcrafted bauble, naturally sparking conversations through shared ideas, comparisons and compliments along the way.

The Result

150 guests, 150 handcrafted baubles

All 150 guests created their own bauble during the event.

The workshop helped turn introductions into conversations, creating a relaxed atmosphere where people felt comfortable getting involved. Guests left with a festive keepsake and, more importantly, new connections they might not otherwise have made.
